Self-Storage - 16 of 25

The fabulous Tiffany Munro of Stargazer's Gate is doing the art for this Spare Keys storyline, while I 'relax' with a new baby. Check out her comic here (dooooo iiiitttt):
'After Atrina vanishes through an alien gateway, Leawyn is certain Atrina is still alive and will do whatever it takes to bring her home.'

Soul's Journey - Trapped in a wolf's body an imprudent prince must escape his current condition before a war he carelessly set in motion razes his country.

I like the fairytale-esque feel of this story - only in this fairy story we get to find out what it was actually like for the prince while he was transformed into an animal, rather than just skipping to the end (for which, by the way, I will give no guarantee of princesses or kissing ...). With the result that we get to hang out with a wolf-pack for a while, which I'm all in favour of; especially when the drawings of the wolves are this good. The story is in the early stages, but there's enough of an archive to get your teeth into!

LaSalle's Legacy - Two brothers versus one zombie pirate holding a very big grudge against their father.

Pirates! Necromancy! Those guys who aren't pirates but still sail ships and often don't get a look in these days! ... what do you call those guys again? Oh yeah, sailors ... Seriously, it's really nice to see a nautical story with a genuinely good Captain trying to run his ship right, rather than one where the plot is all 'Pirates! Yeah! They kill people and it's the best!'. I like good guys, IS THAT SO WRONG?? Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is interesting to say the least, and I just love the interplay between Jon and his brother - honestly, I could watch them get on each other's nerves all day.
Fair warning, the first couple of chapters are a little ropey (a problem I'm all too familiar with from Kaspall :P), but I encourage you to stick with it - the writing and art improve quickly and once you get stuck into the story it really carries you along. This is another one that's heading towards it's finale, so it's an exciting time to get caught up!
